Should you prefer to shop yourself as an opportunity to immerse yourself in the local community and habits, the Praiano area offers several authentic shops to experience Italian day-to-day life:

• Grocery Stores (Alimentari): Several markets are located in Praiano, such as „Tutto per Tutti“ in Via Umberto I (they also offer a variety of delicious, homemade dishes from their deli counter), „Centro Market Sorrentino“ (right below „Tutto per Tutti“ in Via Umberto I) or „Mini Market“ in Via Seggio (probably the smallest grocery store you have ever seen, but they provide everything necessary, including fresh meat of very good quality; situated on top of the hill near a large public parking you get a fantastic view on top of a fascinating shopping experience). There are more grocery stores in Amalfi and a big supermarket „DerSpar“ on the way to Ravello.

• Fresh Fish Market: Enjoy a true Mediterranean feast. A smaller fish shop is in Praiano (near Bar del Sole), or a larger selection is available heading toward Amalfi turning left at the junction of the main road and the road to Furore (note: fish markets typically close by lunchtime).

• Butcher Shops (Macelleria): High-quality meats can be purchased at a local macelleria on the main road in Praiano.

• Coastal Bus Routes (Sita Bus): The bus stop is an easy five-minute walk from the villa, running frequently to connect you with all major towns (Positano, Amalfi, etc.). Important: Tickets must be purchased in advance at local bars (like “Bar del Sole” in Praiano).

• Tourist Office & Essentials: Located in Praiano next to „Bar del Sole“, the tourist office provides helpful booklets, information material about local events and bus schedules.

• Fuel Station: One of the few gasoline stations along the coast is located approximately 2 km (1.5 miles) in the direction of Amalfi.
